Summer Art Camp
$300 per child for the week with “pay what you can” options available
Little Spring Studio’s Summer Art Camp is back! For the third summer, artists Sarah Nichols and Emily Wilson Gillespie are collaborating to teach an art camp for kids every week this June. Summer Art Camp meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the I Fell Artist Studios and Galleries.
Summer Art Camp is open to children and teens ages 5-14. Students will gain a basic understanding of art principles, an opportunity to engage artistically with peers, and time to share their work with each other. Projects include watercolor and acrylic painting, clay building, contour drawing, fiber arts, color theory, and more. Each session of Art Camp will have new projects. Students are welcome to join for one, two, three — or all four sessions of Art Camp!

Emily Wilson Gillespie is the founder of Little Spring Studio and has been working and volunteering in art education since 2008. Emily moved to Bloomington in 2014 and worked as both an assistant and a lead teacher with Indiana University's Campus View Childcare Center. From 2015-2017 Emily was the education graduate assistant at the IU Art Museum where she helped with Youth Art Month and Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar.
In June 2021, Emily launched Little Spring Studio and began teaching small-group and private art lessons to kids ages 4-14. When she's not teaching, you can find her painting in her studio or hiking with her dog, Huck, and partner, Chas.
Sarah Nichols is a fiber artist living and working in Bloomington, Indiana. Sarah moved to Bloomington from Chicago, where she studied art history, in 2014. She has since become involved with a variety of arts and arts education programs, including being a member of the Lotus Visual Arts Committee and a teacher at the Center for Lifelong Learning, and is currently transitioning into working with more students to share her passion for sewing, weaving, dyeing, knitting, and mending.
